Dr. Gorrindo is a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Dr. Gorrindo has been actively involved in clinical work, providing treatment for pediatric patients afflicted with mental illness, and in particular, obsessive-compulsive disorder and problematic internet behaviors. He maintains active medical licenses in Massachusetts and Virginia.
For 10 years, Dr. Gorrindo has been working with medical students, residents, and postgraduate learners. He has expertise in distance learning and pedagogic techniques for working with millennial learners. As the Director of Education at the APA, he is actively involved in education research and oversees hundreds of programs per year.
Technology provides new tools for educating students and for understanding how the efficacy of pedagogic tools. Dr. Gorrindo’s has designed new educational uses for Google Glass, online simulation, learning management systems, and other tools.
